Thinking About AI for Your Practice? Ask Me First.
Thinking About AI for Your Practice? Ask Me First.

A one-day, in-person workshop for the coders, billers, and practice managers who refuse to be replaced. Walk in worried about AI. Walk out knowing exactly how to use it to make yourself indispensable.
Saturday, October 3, 2026 · 8 AM–5 PM · Fogo de Chão Uptown Dallas
Stop fearing the algorithm. Learn to work alongside it — and become the coder leadership protects when budgets tighten.
AI is already reading claims. Learn to use it as your edge so denials drop, reimbursements rise, and your value gets impossible to ignore.
Lead your team through the AI shift instead of being led by it. Walk away with a practical playbook for your practice.
You've already seen the headlines. AI is coding charts. AI is scrubbing claims. AI is writing appeal letters in thirty seconds.
The people telling you "don't worry, AI won't replace you" are the same people who told you EHRs would make your job easier. You know how that turned out.
Here's what's actually happening: the coders, billers, and practice managers who learn to use AI as a tool are about to leave the ones who don't behind. Not in five years. In eighteen months.
The good news? You're early enough. The window isn't closed — but it's narrowing every quarter.
This workshop is for the professionals who'd rather spend one Saturday getting ahead of it than spend the next two years watching it happen to them.

Including the ones your employer is quietly piloting right now — and what they actually do versus what the marketing claims.
Role-specific. Coders get coding prompts. Billers get denial-and-appeal prompts. Practice managers get operations and team-management prompts.
So you can stop guessing and start positioning.
The five capabilities that make a human coder, biller, or manager genuinely irreplaceable in an AI-augmented practice — and a self-assessment so you know where you stand.
You leave with it filled out. Specific actions, specific weeks, specific outcomes.
The room itself is part of what you're paying for. These are the people you'll text when you hit something weird in Q1 of 2027.
8:00 – 8:30 AM · Arrival, Breakfast & Networking Hot breakfast, real coffee, and forty minutes to meet the people in the room before we start.
8:30 – 10:00 AM · Opening Session — The State of AI in Healthcare Right Now What's real, what's hype, and what's already changing reimbursement, coding accuracy, and practice operations. The lay of the land, with current examples.
10:00 – 10:15 AM · Break
10:15 – 12:00 PM · The Indispensable Skill Stack The five capabilities that make a human professional irreplaceable in an AI-augmented practice. Framework, examples, and live self-assessment.
12:00 – 1:00 PM · Lunch at Fogo de Chão Included. Full Fogo experience — salad bar, sides, signature meats. Use the hour to keep talking.
1:00 – 3:00 PM · Role-Based Breakouts You split into one of three working groups based on your role. Each group works through tools, prompts, and scenarios specific to that role. · Track A — Medical Coders · Track B — Medical Billers · Track C — Practice Managers
3:00 – 3:15 PM · Break
3:15 – 4:30 PM · Your 90-Day Plan Guided session where you build your personal upskilling plan on paper. You leave with it filled out, not "to-do later."
4:30 – 5:00 PM · Closing, Q&A, and Photos Final questions, group photo, and the contacts that turn forty strangers into a network.
I'm a physician who learned coding and billing the hard way — by getting paid wrong, getting paid late, and getting paid less than I'd earned. That's why I picked up the CCS and CPC, and it's why I've spent the last twenty years teaching the people who actually run the revenue cycle.
I'm not here to sell you fear about AI. I'm here because I've watched too many smart, experienced professionals get blindsided by changes nobody bothered to translate for them. EHRs. ICD-10. Value-based care. Every shift, the same people got left behind — not because they couldn't keep up, but because no one taught them what was actually coming.
AI is the next shift. And this time, I'm getting in front of it.
This workshop is built on what I'd want a coder, biller, or practice manager in my own office to know by the end of 2026. No theory. No vendor pitches. Just a clear picture of where the field is going and a real plan for how you stay valuable inside it.
I'll be in the room all day. So will you.
